Jan. 5   Dinner - Bowburn Hotel. 7.30 - 8.00 pm pay on the night.

Feb 2    A.G.M. Followed by CIA giving a demonstration of hand tied flowers.

Mar 1   Hippy Lizard - Leanne Bain - Fabric Manipulation.

Apr 5   Ellie Langley - Fleece with altitude.
           She lives in the wilds of upper weardale and  uses fleece
           from her own sheep and other local farmers to make felted items from
           hats to tents and coffins!

May 3  Dr Ann Walker - Weaving art form or economic opportunity.
           She lives and works in Barnard Castle and has her own company
           called  Kisdon  Originals.

Jun 7  Jon Naturalborndyers - Jon Booker - Catalysis emulsification,
           big hammers and old tights. In 2010 Jon & his partner set up a small
           indie-dyeing business to produce high quality yarns with dyes they extract
           from plants.

Jul 5    Lindsey Tyson - Nuno Felt, talk & demonstration Weaving & textile artist

           Lindsey has her 1st Class Honours Degree, her specialism is in
           Jacquard  weaving.
 
Sep 6  Jan Bee Brown - Sculptural feltmaker textile artist,  designer & curator.

           She tells stories through felt & fabric that are personal, public &
           private-reflected in the eyes of generations of women.

Oct 5  Textile Techniques - Batik - the people behind the cloth.
                          PLEASE NOTE FRIDAY EVENING.

          Diane & Jim Gaffney travel the world buying, selling, & exhibiting hand made
          textiles & learning & talking about the people who make them & the
          techniques they use to make them.

Nov 1 Diana Barclay - Possums & Paua a sabbatical year in Dunedin New Zealand.
 
Dec 6 Christmas Party.

All these evening meetings will be held at Redwood Lodge
Charges for First Thursdays Members & visitors £2.00. (Except Feb & Dec)

The Guild also meets at St Oswalds on the Third Thursday of the month (except Dec)
