November meeting - Eco-printing with Gillian Smellie

Here are some photos from our fabulous eco printing workshop with Gillian Smellie.

Firstly, we decorated silk scarves with a variety of leaves, then folded them in half and wrapped them around pieces of copper piping and boiled them for several hours. Here they are about to be unwrapped.

Here are the silk scarves being unwrapped and the leaves being picked off.

We also had a go at printing on paper, sandwiched between 2 slates.
